Unlike other whitening products that can actually damage enamel, the primary intent behind OraWellness Shine is to remineralize our teeth. Once we restore lost minerals, we can address the secondary focus of Shine: to gently encourage a brighter, whiter smile.
How does Shine remineralize our teeth?
Shine combines 3 remineralization strategies to create a unique remineralization product solution the world has never seen.
The reason Shine works so well is because:
~ the minerals are exactly the same as the minerals our teeth are made of
~ the minerals are in a very bio-available form
~ the particle size is tiny in order to be incorporated into the tiny tubule structure of our teeth
~ the formula uses a unique delivery method to bring the minerals exactly to where our teeth need support
So, one reason Shine works so well to reverse tooth decay is simply that Shine makes available tiny particles of the exact mineral structure our teeth are made of available to rebuild and restore the minerals that have been lost from our teeth.
Whitening teeth is risky business because most whitening products are actually bleaching agents which can cause a loss of minerals and weaken the teeth.
Researchers found that there's one ingredient, white kaolin clay powder, that is the most effective way to whiten and clean the teeth without damaging enamel.
The good news is even staining on veneers or composite (white) fillings on front teeth can be polished whiter. These dental materials are at risk of being stained by common staining foods/drinks (coffee, tea, red wine, green smoothies, blueberries, etc).
OraWellness Shine even helps to remove stains from these dental restorations.

How to use OraWellness Shine
1 For general remineralizing support, simply apply Shine to a moistened toothbrush and brush as normal.
2 To increase whitening benefit, focus on the front teeth when first starting to brush.
3 For extra remineralizing support, swish Shine around your mouth for several minutes after brushing.
What others are saying about using Shine...

I have been using Orawellness products for many years and I hope to never quit. Used along with a nutrient rich diet, my dentist and I have watched my weak, receeding gums firm up and actually slowly grow back. My teeth have become whiter and less translucent. Tooth sensitivity is a thing of the past. This didn't happen overnight, but lasting change rarely does. I love reading the "blog" information and have learned some great tips from other customers. Love supporting this company, they have integrity! I use Shine and the oil together.
I have been using this product for about a month now. I use it once a day often and sometimes every other day. The taste could be better. It can be messy as it increases your saliva output. I like that it really gets your teeth clean and seems to keep your gums happy. It also whitens your teeth better then any other product I have tried. It isn’t doing much for my sensitive teeth. I also don’t see it helping to remineralize my teeth. I have a few lesions on my teeth and they haven’t filled back in.
Thank you for trying Shine and for sharing your feedback with us. :)
Regarding the taste of Shine, we see that you ordered Cinnamon Shine. We also offer Shine in Mint. If you try Mint Shine, you may find that it is more to your liking than Cinnamon Shine.
Also, to dilute the flavor of Shine, you could try mixing some Shine powder with some organic coconut oil to turn it into a paste that you can brush with (coconut oil has plenty of antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties to support oral health). Then you just need to use a small dab of the paste each time you brush (that way, you don't go through it too quickly).
We’re sorry that Shine doesn’t seem to be doing much for your sensitive teeth or helping to remineralize your teeth. You may find these two FAQs helpful:
Will Shine help decrease (or increase?) my tooth sensitivity?
How will I know if my teeth are remineralizing?
Shine's main focus is to support the teeth by helping them remineralize. You see, it's our understanding that our teeth are made of minerals and proteins that are bound together in a honeycomb-like, crystalline structure.
If the protein "scaffolding" of the tooth structure remains intact, using products like Shine can help to remineralize (deliver minerals back into) some of the demineralized natural tooth structure.
However, once the protein structure of the tooth is compromised (think severely altered or damaged teeth, like cracked or chipped teeth, teeth with holes or large cavities, teeth that have been drilled for dental work, teeth that have acid dissolution from prolonged or repeated exposure to stomach acid or acidic drinks, etc.), we don't currently have a way to restore it. This is something that stem cell technology may be able to fix years from now, but for now, we just don't have a way to heal that.
So for example, we can't remineralize to the point of healing or filling in a crack or a hole where dental fillings used to be. Instead, the remineralization actions we take will help to support the remaining natural tooth structure, but it's not going to restore what's already lost.
I hope that helps!

Great products for oral health
I haven’t had a cavity in the 4 years since I began using Shine and HealThy Mouth Blend. My diet along with your products seem to be working well together!
I do love this product. Except...
1. The last container I had got moisture in it & got clumpy. I ended up throwing away 2/3rds of it. My current container is fine.
2. I hate the little wood spoon that's included. It always breaks & I spend the next few weeks struggling to get the product out.
Still, I will keep purchasing this. It works. But, to the product developer, please address these issues.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with us.
Regarding point 1:
We’re sorry that your last container of Shine got moisture in it which led to clumping!
To try to prevent Shine from clumping, try your best to keep moisture out of the container, and always keep containers of Shine closed between uses.
For folks who live in humid places, it's recommended to store flour in an airtight container in either the refrigerator or freezer (since Shine is also a powder, this tip can apply to Shine, too). If this speaks to you then feel free to try putting your entire container of Shine into a resealable baggie or other airtight container and store it in the fridge or freezer between uses.
And never dip a wet toothbrush into a container of Shine—that'll get moisture in there for sure.
Also, you might find it helpful to know that Shine is still effective, even when moisture winds up in there and it becomes gooey or clumpy. If it's clumpy then the clumps can make it a little challenging to stay on your brush, though.
If your Shine turns clumpy, feel free to use a butter knife, fork, or another kitchen tool (maybe a potato masher, a mortar and pestle, or a blender?) to break the Shine into smaller clumps and then mix it with some organic coconut oil to turn it into a paste that you can brush with (coconut oil has plenty of antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties to support oral health). Then you just need to use a small dab of the paste each time you brush (that way, you don't go through it too quickly).
Regarding point 2:
Once you've initially removed the wooden spoon from your Shine jar, we encourage you to store the spoon outside of the container (because storing the spoon back inside the jar can be an easy way to accidentally introduce moisture in there since wood can hold moisture).
We call these "spoons", but really they're just a mechanism for scooping out some Shine powder (they aren't intended to be used as measuring devices), so any spoon/scoop should do the trick.
I hope that helps!
As always, feel free to reach out with any additional comments or questions, Bob; we’re here to help. :)
The SHINE Tooth Whitening Powder is EXCELLENT
My dental hygienist is amazed at the impact of Shine and Healthy Mouth Blend on my teeth. She gives me an A+ on my dental hygiene habits. I even got to stretch out my x-rays to the two year mark which she rarely allows. I am very thankful for this product line since just two years ago I had three cavities to contend with. I now have no worries about future cavities. I adjusted my vitamin/mineral supplements and started using OraWellness products and that made all the difference!
I have periodontal issues. Over the years my dentist has worked with me in order to avoid going to a periodontist. On my last cleaning appointment she and the hygienist were amazed and asked what I have been doing - I told them about your products. Not only did I maintain - they actually saw improvements and were baffled - so grateful for your products. I am now a believer!!!
Ever since I had twins, my cavities doubled as well. My teeth actually ached and were very sensitive. I felt so helpless because no dentist seemed to want to help me be proactive in taking back my oral health. So thankful for OraWellness! My teeth and gums feel, look, and are actually healthy! I’ve used the products, watched all the videos, and have read the blogs and I am beyond grateful for the help in taking back my oral health and not succumbing to fillings and fluoride as the only answers. Thank you!!!
