The Challenge of Stopping Periodontal Disease...

As you now know, when gum disease progresses unchecked it creates ever-deepening gum pockets.  This is called 'periodontal disease' or 'periodontitis'.  These gum pockets provide protection for the disease-causing oral thug bugs, allowing them to organize and do their dirty work without being bothered by normal brushing and flossing.  (Here's an article that explains how periodontal disease progresses and undermines our health.)
